Moving.

Yesterday I moved to Guri-si. I like it. My new apartment has a few rooms in it. It's a basement apartment. I haven't lived in one of those before. I went there before noon. I then went shopping at an outdoor market that wasn't far away. I got some rice, side dishes of pepper leaves and perilla leaves. I also got some kimchi. What can I say, I am Korean! I also got some containers to put things in. I bought some black rice and some other type of grain that was tiny and black because it looked good. The apartment has a brand-new rice cooker. I had some heavy bags to carry back home.
I spent some time straightening out the place and then I had to go to Kangnam for my now former roommate's birthday party dinner. I realised that I didn't have a present for her. I had just finished crocheting a hat. I started on it during campmeeting two weekends ago. I decided I should give it to her. I put it in a black plastic bag and left. I arrived ten minutes late, but she wasn't there either. I was actually only in Kangnam. I found her on the road with two friends, Yuri and Elroy. We walked around in the rain for a while until we found the place. We finally did and we had a good time. It was California Pizza Kitchen. I tried some tomato pizza and a vegetarian pizza with eggplant and mushrooms on it. I also had a few rolls with mediterranean vegetables in them. She liked the present. The hat fit well.

It was good. I loved the tomato one the best because it had both fresh and sundried tomatoes on it. I thought a mixed mushroom pizza would be good, but it wasn't available. I love mushrooms!

While an undergraduate student at Andrews University I took a poetry class. I studied some of A.E. Stallings' poetry. She studied lots of classical poetry and literature of Greece. She does translation of poetry from Greek to English. An interesting thing she said was that when she was at university to study ancient, Greek poetry, she came across some poems that described early springtime flowers such as hyacinths blooming at the same time as later spring flowers. She interpreted that as a "golden age". She was later surprised when visiting the Greek countryside and finding those flowers blooming at the same time . So, I haven't been posting lately. I have been busy working on my Master's Degree in English and a Master's Certificate in Human Rights. I have been enjoying my studies overall. I have been challenged a lot by studying Chaucer this semester (hey, that guy lived six hundred years ago).  I hope to get at least a B in that class. I worked on my degree last summer, taking one class over Summer Session I and two over Summer Session II to get things done and over with.  I got an A and two A- grades.  I have been trying to stay afloat with this semester. I ended up with one late paper for Chaucer due to my factory job I had at the time and time management.  I ended up losing a letter grade, which made me upset. I decided that I have had enough of Facebook. I have been contemplating deleting my account.  I have already deleted my Twitter at least a year ago.  I also don't have Pinterest or Instagram.  I know that I use Facebook too much.
